Building a bandsaw box is a great way to learn and practice several fundamental woodworking skills. In this hands-on class, participants will select a piece of rough sawn wood and use the jointer, planer and table saw to mill the lumber into a square piece of stock. After discussing the order of operations and the reasoning behind the cutting and assembly procedure, students layout their own design onto the stock and proceed to cut on the bandsaw. The guided portion of the project concludes with assembly and demonstrations on finishing and additional steps that can be added to bring more complexity and challenge to the project.

We express through action

Our events are wide-ranging and diverse. They represent our interests, our needs and our desires. We strive to learn, each and every day, thirsty and curious. We're hungry and ambitious, and it's the sharing of knowledge that feeds us.
